As the frontman of the band Smokie, he became world famous and celebrated great band successes in the 70s with hits such as “Living Next Door To Alice”, “Lay Back In The Arms Of Someone” and “I'll Meet You At Midnight”. “Midnight Lady” marked his phenomenal breakthrough as a solo artist. Since then, Chris Norman has written countless, unforgettable hits and continues to delight numerous fans, both old and new. With more than 20 million records sold worldwide, the British singer and guitarist can look back on an exceptionally successful career. On October 25th, 2025, Chris Norman will celebrate his 75th birthday and will mark the occasion by releasing his new single “LIFELINES” – a first foreshadowing of the new album of the same name, which will follow in March next year. Advance sales for his upcoming “LIFELINES” tour will begin on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, which will finally bring the global star back to the stages in a total of 13 cities in Germany in 2026.
With “LIFELINES”, Chris Norman takes his huge fan base on a highly emotional journey through time through the more than 50 years of his remarkable career. This makes the concept album, which will be released in March 2026, a musical autobiography. Chris Norman emphasizes: "My new album 'LIFELINES' has given me the wonderful opportunity to revisit the different periods of my life and to sing songs that have touched me in a special way throughout my entire musical career."
Each song represents a station in the life of the exceptional artist - as a whole, they form a common thread of memories, emotions and all the musical influences that have shaped Chris Norman over the years. It starts with the first single "LIFELINES", which also symbolizes the beginning of the journey into the past: "'LIFELINES' is a song about memories and experiences from my life and my career - moments that evoke the strong feelings in me that only music can," says Chris Norman.
The 75th birthday is the perfect occasion to pause and look back: whether early childhood memories, international chart successes, moving moments. All of this finds space on “LIFELINES”, which above all shows the person behind the artist. "I've selected a few special songs from the decades - pieces that mean a lot to me then and now. And I hope that they bring back many wonderful memories for you too," explains Chris Norman. In addition to his personal favorite songs, the album will of course also contain his hits such as “Midnight Lady” or “Stumblin’ In” – the legendary duet with Suzie Quattro.
The heart of the new “LIFELINES” chapter will be the upcoming tour, which will go through Germany in autumn 2026.
