About event
An evening full of facts, stories and Conversations
We cordially invite you to a special reading with the biologist Astrid Drapela. Her enthusiasm for the human-chicken relationship is reflected not only in research and pedagogy, but also in her books: “I wish I had a chicken“ (2023) and “Once upon a time there was the chicken“ (2025).
In her reading, the chicken connoisseur takes us on a journey of discovery about everything Chicken - from exciting insights into the lives of animals to cultural and historical aspects to the latest research findings. And your knowledge is also in demand!
But the question of your own path is also not neglected: How do you actually become an author as a biologist? Astrid Drapela talks about her studies, career and her introduction to writing - and answers your questions about a career with chickens.
