Its curator Adam Štěch guides visitors through the exhibition.
The exhibition evaluates cottages and weekend houses as an important, yet often neglected typology in the development of modern architecture and home design of the 20th century. The central theme of the exhibition is concrete examples of cottages and weekend houses and the genesis of their architecture in the course of the 20th century, from the creation of the Czechoslovak Republic to the end of the socialist era.
Architecture historian and columnist Adam Štěch curated the exhibition in collaboration with architect Jan Bureš. The exhibition is largely based on the rich photographic accompaniment that Adam Štěch created during his travels to find cottages and summer houses in the world and in our country.
