Travel lecture "by bike through the world and Africa"

The travel lecture in the lamp hall will bring two exceptional stories full of courage, perseverance and unforgettable experiences.

Laco Branicky decided to go on a bike to the whole African continent from north to south west coast. He set out from Bratislava towards the southernmost point of Africa - Strelkov cape, where the Atlantic and Indian ocean meets. After 279 days and 23,000 kilometers over 21 countries, its goal became a reality. The journey through the Sahara, the equatorial jungle or the savannah full of animals has brought questions whether it can be traveled by Africa, how to live ordinary people and where to find motivation after three malaria attacks. Africa disassembled every plan, but brought experiences for life. It lasted almost three and a half years and led over 57 countries of all continents. In the saddle he walked 66 496 kilometers, overcome mountain passes over 5,000 meters and spent 3,774 hours of life on two wheels. Its aim was to get to know himself and the world, to experience diverse cultures, landscapes and thousands of meetings that forever change the view of life. events@kafelampy.sk
