About event
Anyone who was lucky enough to see the British singer and songwriter Celeste live in 2019 at one of her first appearances in Germany as part of the Reeperbahn Festival at the Imperial Theater knew back then: a really great artist was on the way. Celeste already had songs like “Lately” and “Both Sides Of The Moon” in the setlist, which perfectly balanced between the poles of soul, jazz and pop, but above all she had this powerful, smoky voice that sounded wise despite her very young age at the time. At the end of the Reeperbahn Festival set there was a standing ovation that you rarely experience.
But Celeste didn't let herself be rushed and built her career at her own pace: The debut album “Not Your Muse” was released in 2021 and impressed with great songs like “Stop This Flame”, “Strange” and “Ideal Woman”. In Germany she charted at number 6 in the album charts - in her home country at number 1. It was the first time in five years that a singer achieved this position in the UK.
Now her second album is out: “Woman of Faces” is the name and Celeste promises nothing less than “the best songs I have ever written”. Many of their fans will agree with that.
It will be interesting to see how Celeste will bring this music to the stages on her tour for the album. In June she will stop in Germany and play 2 shows in Berlin and Cologne.
