About event
The absolute tip between contemporary jazz singers, although the name "jazz" is very tight for her work, exceeding the boundaries of genres, languages and performative arts. Music brings elements of Vaudeville, Blues, folk, Baroque music and theater. She is a triple Grammy holder and in 2020 she also acquired a prestigious MacArthur scholarship. She is also considered an exceptional talent by her famous music colleagues - Wynton Marsalis said: “Such a singer will appear once as a generation, maybe two.”

International Jazz Vocal Competition. The breakthrough moment in her career was the release of Womanchild (2013), which two years later followed the recording for One to Love, for which she also won her first gramma. It contained a varied selection of songs - songs by Burt Bacharach, Noël Coward and creative duo Rodgers and Hammerstein - and Guardian described it as "Music Theater in its most frequent form". The Window (2018), recorded in a pair with pianist Sullivan Fortner, incorporated a French cabaret, American musical melodies, pop and soul. The following recording Ghost Song (2022) focused primarily on her charming own work and the latest album Mélusine, sung mostly in French, is a conceptual recording inspired by the Meluzin - Water Fail from European Mythology. The feature animated film, again proves that her work does not know the boundary. Her recordings and performances include a breathtaking spectrum of musical styles and historical epochs - and continues to inspire and surprise. - New York Times
