CAMP Tour: Na kole po historických cestách

How can restored roads improve the permeability of the landscape, offer safe movement for pedestrians and cyclists, and at the same time support greenery, biodiversity and a more pleasant microclimate? Roads are not only links between places, but also an imprint of how the landscape and the city have developed over the centuries. There are more than 3,500 km of defunct historical roads in the Prague metropolitan area. During a cycle ride of approximately 20 km, we will follow part of these routes and show where they used to lead, how they can be recognized today and why it makes sense to think about their restoration. Together we will take a look at the plans and projects that are transforming the Prague landscape and returning to it forgotten connections and new possibilities of movement.

Practical information:

• Participants meet at the Letňany metro station. This is also where the ride ends.
• Rekola will be set up and provided free of charge for event participants - you must have a downloaded and functional Rekola app.
• If you want to ride your own bike, let us know at least 48 hours before the event by e-mail zakostelecka@ipr.praha.eu.
• The length of the route is approx. 20 km, the pace is slower and suitable for everyone who is used to moving in Prague on bike.
• The event will last approximately 2.5 hours.
• Participants provide a protective helmet and drinking water on their own axis.
• By entering CAMP events, you agree to the publication of photos and video recordings.
