The new performance of the couple Katarína Poliačiková and Eva Priečková explores through movement and words the theme of loss (of a close person), grief (of different nature) and the process of grieving.

An important level of the performance is the possibility of sharing burdens and burdens in the emotional and physical space of friendship. The authors start from their own experience and try to transform it into a performance that layers personal stories and opens up space for the audience. Conceptually, the authors follow up on the performance Liquid sadness, which they realized as part of the n:ear festival in Banská Štiavnica in 2024.

The authors decided to share the performance on the day of the winter solstice, when the darkness of the days in the northern hemisphere peaks, so that immediately the days begin to gradually, slowly lengthen.

Sadness is a detox and shift, the emotions moving in and out and through. Grief is the longer change, the process by which a body becomes different. – Susan Raffo
