About event
Told with subtle British humor, the story of an inconspicuous young man
who discovers the BDSM community through the incredibly handsome leader of a motorcycle club. Colin lives a routine life in a London suburb. He spends his days at work and sings in the pub every Sunday with his father's barbershop quartet in pumps and bow ties. Sweet but shy Colin lives at home with his father Pete and mother Peggy, who is in the final stages of cancer and constantly tries to get Colin a date. His life changes when he is approached by Ray, a mysterious member of a biker gang. Ray is a dominant alpha male - irresistibly handsome, strong, yet emotionally indifferent. Colin falls in love with him, moves into his house and does everything Ray asks of him. Debutant director Harry Lighton tells a gentle love story with subtle humor, wrapped in the noise of high-revving bloated machines. The film has been accompanied by positive responses since its release at the Cannes festival, where it won the prize for the best screenplay.
