Brings - Tour 2026
November 21st, 2026 in Berlin!

The band, founded by the brothers Peter and Stephan Brings, has experienced pretty much all the ups and downs that you can experience as a musician over the past two decades. At the end of the 1990s, the band with the famous fathers (in addition to Rolly Brings, the singing legend Tommy Engel and the politician Norbert Blüm) had supposedly already had their best years behind them. Then in 2000, with “Superjeilezick,” they achieved what could easily be described as winning the lottery. This igniting power polka has become more popular with each passing year and is now one of the most popular songs in the Cologne dialect far beyond the carnival. Thanks to “Superjeilezick” the doors opened for Brings in the foolish stronghold of Cologne. A new era began for the band, complete with a completely successful image change.

Then things actually happened in quick succession. Hardly a carnival session in recent years has gone by without a new atmospheric hit from Brings. “Poppe, Kaate, Danze” (initially considered a scandalous number, now one of the band’s biggest hits), “Su lang mer noch am Lääve sin”, “Hallelujah”, “Dat is Geil”, “Polka, Polka” or the always maudlin mood-inducing “Mama, we thank you” are resounding proof of how well Brings know the sensitivities and mental states of their fellow human beings. They have also developed an absolutely good nose for original cover versions: “You should be 20 again” (the adaptation of the 50s hit by Cologne veteran Gerhard Jussenhoven) and the Zarah Leander evergreen “Just don't cry for love” they breathed new life with Schmackes. They know how to seamlessly incorporate gypsy melodies, polkas and other folkloric material into their own songs and reinforce them with the force of rock music. "In a carnival set, we try to recreate the essence of a concert in half an hour. We want to make people want to come along and watch a real concert," says Peter Brings, who with his men puts his heart and soul into every performance, with energetic stage performances and tireless live presence on nationwide tours and festivals and also in carnival: no one sweats harder, no one exhausts themselves More visible, no band in the German-speaking world allows the audience at concerts to participate more tangibly and directly in their music.
Brings have never minced their words. The fact that their songs sometimes offend has ultimately only made them more popular. Their concerts across Germany are attended by thousands of fans every year and have been for over 30 years.

As your biggest hit says, they are real “Kölsche Jungs”
