Bring That Thing - Beyond The Night

The Berlin quintet combines acoustic blues, soul, country & folk with North African influences. Friedrich Barniske offers the great frontman, percussionist and native Algerian Fares Mokrani a strong vocal counterpart on rhythm guitar, the best prerequisite for powerful duo singing. With Tobias Kummetat, the band presents an extremely sensitive soloist and blues guitarist who, in addition to the six-string steel string, also plays slide guitar and oud. Arnd Mechsner on keyboards and organ expands the band into a veritable quintet, to which Berit Jung gives virtuoso and fabulous depth and groove with her playing on the double bass.
Bring That Thing's own compositions in English, Arabic and French, as well as interpretations of rhythm 'n' blues and North African songs, become a dense one bound to a musical experience.
