The Brauseboys have been looking back on the previous year for 20 years, and one has to say: They don't get any better as the years go by. There is no sign of a turnaround in 2025.
A lot has happened in 20 years: the fourth chancellor is now sitting in the White House, the fourth and a half US president is sitting in St. Peter's Basilica and the third pope is sitting in the chancellery. And this black-red smoke from the Bundestag doesn't bode well.
In their weekly reading shows, the pre-reading boy group intensively lived through and commented on 2025 again. Now Thilo Bock, Robert Rescue, Frank Sorge, Volker Surmann and Heiko Werning are sorting through their memories: Who will fall over the Musk affair, is an American as Holy Father more infallible than the big customs troll and who is actually behind the big catfish conspiracy?
Satire and songs from piano, ukulele and sheet music, moving pictures from the wall - the Brauseboys are presenting their traditional annual review for the 20th time for the 20th time. They carefully take the crazy year 2025 by the hand and lead it into the trap of history.
The Brauseboys are a reading stage founded in Wedding, they have been reading their texts every Thursday in Berlin since 2003 and have not let pandemics or wars stop them. Its current home is the “Haus der Sinne” cultural stage in Prenzlauer Berg. Your annual review “Goodbye” has been around for exactly 20 years; last year around 2,000 enthusiastic viewers saw it. To mark the year in review, an annual best-of is being published by Satyr-Verlag.
