Bratislavské bábkové divadlo: POPOLVÁR

We will celebrate World Puppet Theater Day with a meeting with a story that has been part of our culture for generations. The Puppet Theater opens up the world of fantasy, develops imagination and speaks about important values in a language close to children and adults.

The Bratislava Puppet Theater has accepted an invitation and on the occasion of the World Puppet Theater Day will visit Rača with the production Popolvár - an adventurous puppet classic based on the tales of Pavel Dobšinský about the hidden hero, faith in oneself and the strength that can be born even where it is no one is waiting. They unconventionally, humorously and boldly combined two versions of this story: Cinderella the ugly face and Cinderella the biggest in the world.

Cinderella? The ugly duckling among humans. And among Slovaks. Dobšinský's cult story about a lazy sloth and his transformation into "the biggest in the world". How is it possible that the shame of the family becomes the star of the country, which saves the princess from the warlock and his unlimited power? Ashland is a mystery. Or not even? Maybe he just didn't believe in himself and no one believed in him. An adventurous puppet production about looking at oneself as well as others, about self-confidence, pride and crooked mirrors.

Suitable for children from 3 years old.
