Franz Schubert's music is not only deeply rooted in the Austrian soul, but also in the characteristic landscape with its mountains and sometimes raging, sometimes happily babbling rivers and streams. It is hard to imagine tracing the Viennese sound without devoting yourself to one of the most popular works of chamber music literature, Schubert's Forellen Quintet. This masterpiece, which was to become one of his most famous works, was commissioned by the music patron Silvester Paumgartner, who in turn was so enthusiastic about Johann Nepomuk Hummel's piano quintet that he wanted a work with the same cast. Enjoy these two works as well as another work by Schubert, the fantastically beautiful Notturno, with brilliant performers and let the little trout take you into the endlessly beautiful landscapes of Austria.
