About event
A dragon lurks by the road and watches those who pass by. Make sure he doesn't look at you. We walk toward the Father of all souls, but we must pass by the dragon.
- Cyril of Jerusalem
This motto introduces Flannery O'Connor's book A Good Man Is Hard to Find, published by Argo. The heroes of her stories are broken people, their motivations are surprising, and against the background of very ordinary events, such as a trip to town, selling a Bible or repairing a car, Flannery O'Connor reveals to us many unexpected "dragon corners" of human beings.
