Told with just nine props and rapid role changes Bodo Wartke tells the story of Oedipus, king of Thebes, who unknowingly kills his own father. And later, as a reward for freeing Thebes from the Sphinx, he takes Jocasta, the king's widow and thus his own mother, as his wife. A solo theater with the piano cabaret artist in all 14 roles!
Bodo Wartke's excellent performance of his stage version of the classic tragedy "Oedipus the King" offers a barrier-free introduction to a justly famous legend and combines comedy and tragedy into an unforgettable evening at the theater - this is how education is fun!
