Hellbutcher (Scandinavian Black Speed ​​- Sweden)
Weakness and Poseri, beware. From the depths of the Black metal underground, one of the most of the characters of this genre with a new band and an even more sinister attitude is returned. As the frontman of the legendary Swedish maniacs Nifelheim, Hellbutcher held the bad reputation of the real black metal firmly in the iron fist. Now, with this new eponymous band, his crazy mission continues: nothing less than total metal madness is out of the question. "The essence of Hellbutcher embodies the true essence of metal," he says. "We are metal - we are trying to improve and develop our music and image to become the purest and hardest band in the entire history of extreme metal. We ignore the prescribed trends and fashion - we will continue the authentic road that Metal should always take!" As the leader of the Swedish Black metal scene since the beginning of the 1990s, he has really had this essence in bones and blood. Pure metal, total blasphemy, absolute music armageddon. "I'm playing Black Metal. I've been doing it for four decades, so I have to be obsessed in some way," he says. "I don't like soft things. Our music smells of evil, the lyrics must be bad - that's just a fact! Hellbutcher is music for real headbangers!" "I realized I needed to start my own band to preserve the true spirit of metal. I was extremely inspired!" He teamed up with the old cumps of darkness-guitarists Necrophiliac (also from Mordant) and Iron Beast, bassist Eld and drummer Devastator (ex-Nifelheim)-and Hellbutcher quickly began to transform his vision into reality. In a short time they had a lot of material collected to record their rampage, hell and eponymous debut album. They recorded in several places in Sweden - for example, in the Red and Black Hall devastator studio or in Chrome Studios Iron Beasta - and produced the whole album, and Masta ourselves: "We don't need an external producer when we know exactly how our band should sound." The result is a recording that clearly and heroically stands as a work of clear, metal chaos. In the spirit of Venom, Bathory, Iron Maiden, Exciter, Motörhead, Mercyful Fate and the aggressive spirit of the true heavy metal is an explosion of devilish evil, without the grace presented by real masters of the genre. "It starts with an epic intro and then plunges into a rampage of thrashing guitars, followed by a strong chorus and a dark but dense middle part with solo guitar shots - I think there is everything that the metal song has to have," explains Hellbutcher. "The text is metaphorical and inspired by my decision to continue my journey that I started with Nifelheim decades ago." "I have known him since the beginning of the 1990s and his music style is very similar to my," says the singer. "This song proves that he understands the essence of Hellbutcher! Inferno’s Rage is an inexorable speed attack, with heavy metal elements in certain passages. It also shows crazy devastator drums that is recognized as one of the best drummers on the metal scene!" Hellbutcher moved to leave a fired trail on the Black metal scene. Hellbutcher himself believes that this band can be even more devastating than his previous work. "I believe that this band has the potential to overcome Nifelheim - we have reached more than the last decade with Nifelheim in a year," he says. "The key difference is that this band has a common goal. I am now full of huge inspiration and plan to create new songs, recordings and concerts in a completely different pace than before." It insists that the posers should "perish" and promises that their concerts "will break their neck". Exorcizphia 2005. After several personnel changes, the band's line -up in 2019 stabilized the following form: Ondra Šíská - Sólová guitar, Aleš Kostka - bass, Tomáš Kejkrt - drums and the last founding member and driving force of the band Tomáš Skořepa - guitar, singing. Their musical expression is strongly influenced by the overseas thrash metal of the 80s. They shared the stage with such giants of the genre as Exodus, Voivod, D.R.I., Napalm Death, M.O.D., Artillery, Manilla Road, Gama Bomb or Exhorder. In recent years, the band has been very active and regularly set out on tour all over Europe. He has had approximately 500 performances, including reputable festivals such as Brutal Assault (4x), Obscene Extreme (3x), Mystic (Poland), Czech Death Fest (4x), Basinfire or Taunus (Germany). So far, they have released four LPs, two EPs, three split albums and one live album. In the autumn of 2023, they released their fourth long -term album "Spiritual Exodus" under the Doomentia Records publishing house, which won the Angel Award for Best Album of the Year in the Rock category for 2024.
