Biograf Láska

THE BEST CZECH HIT MUSICAL OF ALL TIME

comes only to STARS auditorium

The musical BIOGRAPH LÁSKA brings the songs of Hana Zagorová to the musical stage.

A total of 24 famous songs of the legendary singer, author, nine-time Golden Nightingale Hana Zagorová will be heard in the new original Czech musical Biograf love, which was presented by Divadlo Kalich and the company No.Art for the first time on September 16, 2022 and is still sold out.

The author of the script is the successful writer and publicist Uljana Donátová, the direction and the stage were entrusted to the actor and scenographer Jan Kříž. Similarly, the theater relied on the talent of costume designer Radek Fišer, whom musical audiences still know primarily as a dancer.

The show's choreographer is Petra Parvoničová, the author of the musical staging is Ľubomír Dolný, who have already participated in several respected musical titles at the Kalich Theater.

"With the producers of the musical, at the very beginning, we chose a basic portfolio of songs that we were convinced simply had to be heard in the musical. These are songs that characterize Hana Zagorová as a singer and are inextricably linked with her, the listener immediately remembers them from the first notes. But in the course of the process we also found some that, thanks to the emotions they convey, they will help to complete and advance the story and the characters of the heroes," describes the author of the script, Uljana Donátová, about the beginnings of work on the musical.

Regarding the story itself, she revealed: "I wanted a kind story with Hana Zagorová's songs that absolutely everyone can survive. Therefore, the three main female characters, around whom the entire plot of the musical revolves, can accept even serious situations with humor and insight, they can outdo each other a bit, make fun of each other, but hold their own in important moments. But the men in this story also have an important, even fundamental, role."

The cast came from several rounds of auditions. Eight adult roles, two children's roles and company roles were waiting for their representatives. "I would never dare to give advice to accomplished, excellent singers. I think that everyone can handle it on their own, I would just recommend that you forget about my interpretation and give it a piece of your opinion, a piece of yourself and assert your personality," Hana Zagorová told the actors at the beginning of their work on the musical Biograf láska.
