About event
Bára Zmeková, composer and singer, will present a special summer concert with her band. You can look forward to dreamy songs on the border between jazz, folk, classical music and soft electronics. Songs from the current album Jediný na světě, an unreleased work, will also be performed, as well as older compositions that are only rarely heard at concerts.
Bára released her second album Lunaves in 2019, for which she received nominations for Anděl awards in two main categories - Solo performer and Discovery of the year. In the same year, she won the international jury at the music show Czech Music Crossroads, from which she and the band took home the prize of the expert jury and the listeners' prize, and in 2020 she represented the Czech music scene at the world's largest world music show WOMEX - The World Music Expo. She won the hearts of Japanese fans during her performance at Expo 2025 in Osaka and is currently back from her second Japanese tour. The song comes first for her, but she is not afraid of experimenting or new musical collaborations - she recorded her latest single Jiné stromi with the Norwegian tubist Daniel Herskedal. Listeners in the Czech Republic and abroad refer to her concerts as "soul trip" or "poetry in music". And it was even said: "That was the first time I got down with music."
