Ateliérovka: Jako kočka a myš

Sunday Atelierovka for children entitled Jako kočka a miš as part of the exhibition DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign.

In the installation I scream, your echoes return, what am I? (2023)on view in the new exhibition DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign, artist Flaka Haliti depicts the bat and the snake, two ancient enemies, the prey and the predator. But here they are seated together. Like yin and yang, they remind us that opposites can be interconnected and one loses its meaning without the other. In the hanging pieces, he uses transparent Plexiglas with a bat, which is intertwined with a luminous hose that represents a snake. Together they create one work - one composite being.

In this Atelierovka we will create a similar work. Let's think about what pairs of creatures are interconnected. They may be enemies, yet together they create a balance in nature. Then engrave or paint one animal on the tracing paper with white paint. For the second animal, we will use a color that glows in the dark. Finally, we attach a thread to the piece so that we can hang it in the space - like the exhibited object of the artist Flaka Haliti. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m.!

Tickets for Ateliérovka for 130 CZK (participants) or 50 CZK (accompaniment) can be purchased directly before the event at the box office of Galerie Rudolfinum. Parents can join in, or let the children create with our lecturers and in the meantime browse the DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign exhibition undisturbed. Admission to it is voluntary.
