«Арлекины Анны»

Tragic harlequinade based on “Poem without a Hero” by Anna Akhmatova and other poems of the Silver Age.

If any of you don't remembers “Poem Without a Hero” too well: in this main work of hers, which was written and rewritten for almost twenty years, Akhmatova recalls her great contemporaries - Blok, Mandelstam, Mayakovsky, Gumilyov, Kuzmin, as well as her friend (and to some extent alter ego) actress Olga Glebova-Sudeikina and painfully reflects on the responsibility of the Silver Age as a whole and her personal one for the fact that happened to the country in the twentieth century. And if “Poem Without a Hero” has a hero, then it is Akhmatova’s Petersburg, Petrograd, Leningrad, in the scenery of which the action will unfold.
