As in previous years, the Archive of the Security Forces will once again participate in the neighborhood festival Braník seba and on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., it will open the doors of the building at Branické náměstí 2.
We will present the work of the archivists and a selection of authentic archives or their reproductions that relate to 1986 and approximate the activities of the security forces during the communist regime. For all of them, we can name, for example, samples from the investigation file introduced into the night explosion in České Budějovice in October 1986, including photo documentation taken or documents of the Czechoslovak scientific and technical intelligence relating to the acquisition of information about HIV research in the West. Our archivists will take care of the interpretation. He will try to answer all questions regarding both the history of the institution and its significance at the present time, as well as the archive files it manages.
During the entire duration of the event, it will be possible to register in our digital archive eBadatelna.
Entrance to the event will be free, prior registration is not necessary. Come to us to explore the landmark of Branické náměstí and learn about the past, which should not be forgotten.
