LEARN TO CREATE SOUND AND MUSIC FOR VIDEO GAMES!
🎧ྀི⋆⁺₊🎮✩°｡
In this three-hour intensive workshop, producers Ancestral Vision and Oliver Torr will guide you through the basics of creating soundtracks and sound design for interactive environments. The course is divided into two parts and does not require any previous knowledge.
The first half of the workshop will be theoretical. Together, you will focus on listening and analyzing samples from video games, film and experimental audio, exploring how music, ambient surfaces, intentional silence, user interface (UI) sounds and foley effects shape emotions, spatial orientation, rhythm, game narrative and player attention.
In the second, practical part, you will try the theory directly in practice. With the use of pre-prepared sound packs (soundpacks), you will need to build the sound atmosphere of a short game scene from scratch. During this process, you will explore the techniques of sound layering, timing, texture work, contrast and simple editing, as well as the close relationship between image, action and the resulting sound.
