About event
Alva Noto returns to Prague Sounds, along with another pioneer of electronic music, Fennesz as part of a special project in honor of the composer Ryuichim Sakamot
Many know him thanks to filmmaking (Soundtrack for the Last Emperor or The Revenant, on which he worked together with Alva Note). He significantly entered history with his innovative work with the band Yellow Magic Orchestra (working mainly with electronic synthesizers) and a number of fruitful cooperations, whether as a composer, producer, or artist. Among the most important of these cooperations are long -term joint work with Alva Note (over 17 years have released several albums from 2002 albums) or cooperation with Austrian guitarist and producer Fennesz, with whom he also recorded. href = "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlz08au2pja"> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlz08au2pja
Experimental routes on which each of them and Sakamot went. In addition, there will also be a team of scenographers, light and sound designers who will create an absolutely absorbing multimedia experience. York or in London's Tate Modern. Those who experienced his concert with Ensemble Modern at Prague Sounds in 2023 certainly remember the precisely built connection of audio and pictorial elements. In addition, Fennesz is an equally prominent personality of the electronic scene - he collaborated with names such as Mike Patton or David Sylvian and is also working for film and dance. His breakthrough album Endless Summer (2001) is still considered a milestone in the history of electronic music.
"Nearly a quarter of a century after the release of Endless Summer on the border of Ambient and Glitche is still looking for a phennesz transcendence in a combination of guitar riffs and electronics." - Pitchfork
"Alva Not's work with sound is masterful." - The Guardian
