Germany sees itself as a world champion in remembrance and reappraisal. But how is it that right-wing populists win elections, right-wing extremist crimes are inadequately investigated and “never again is now” degenerates into a phrase? Max Czollek and Hadija Haruna-Oelker believe that this is also due to a failed German culture of remembrance. Together they think about a new practice that arranges the present so that the past does not repeat itself. An astute and contentious analysis of society's shift to the right by two important intellectual voices of our time. A book full of humor, sadness, resistance and the energy to start everything from the beginning.
