About event
Some authors write about the past. Some about the presence. And then there are those who show us the future. Often disturbing, sometimes spectacular, but always fascinating.
Welsh science fiction author Alastair Reynolds, one of the most prominent voices of modern science fiction, is coming to the Martinus bookstore. He will visit Slovakia as part of the international space business conference VytahConf, which annually invites a writer who can see the future through the eyes of imagination among technological visions and space innovations.
Reynolds is known for thoughtful space worlds, dark secrets of distant planets and stories that combine hard science with spectacular adventure. His work has also caught the attention of filmmakers, two of his short stories were adapted by Netflix in the award-winning anthology series Love, Death & Robots.
At the talk, we will talk about how science fiction worlds are created, why the universe is so irresistibly attracted to us and what all the literary imagination can say about the future of humanity.
If you love science fiction, big questions about the universe and stories that push the boundaries of imagination, this is a meeting that would you definitely shouldn't miss it. The talk will be held in English. The talk will be held in English.
