Janaína is 18 years old and lives with her mother and grandmother in an apartment complex on the outskirts of Recife, in northeastern Brazil. Three generations sharing affection, conflicts and living space in a small apartment. She is in her first year of law school and is the first in her family to pursue a college degree. When she finds out that she is pregnant, she begins to rethink her plans, her family history and her own decisions and is confronted with the dilemmas of a society in which abortions for social reasons are not allowed Recife.
