About event
Artificial intelligence is one of the most fundamental technological changes of our era. It combines an almost unlimited potential of benefits and risks at the same time. It can fundamentally accelerate scientific progress, change the economy or help solve global challenges. At the same time, however, it opens up new questions about power, control and the functioning of society.
We invite you to a discussion with Professor Vladimír Šuch, author of the book When Machines Begin to Think, about how AI affects our world - from the labor market to geopolitics to the very relationship between man and machine.
What will happen to society when more and more decisions are made by algorithms? Can states and democratic institutions keep up with exponential technological development? And are we on the threshold of a new era of human civilization?
