About event
AGATHA is DEAD! Dead! was founded in the lockdown winter of 2021 and began as a post-punk experiment between long-time friends Lilly and Noah, who made music together when they were at school. Her love for Joy Division, The Cure, Molchat Doma and Fontaines D.C. laid the foundation for their dark, haunting sound. With the addition of drummer Joey Ramone Hansen, who brought in grunge and pop−punk elements, as well as Arthur on bass, the band played their first concerts in 2022 and quickly conquered a place in the Berlin underground scene.
In September of this year, the band will start their first headlining tour, opening a new chapter in their history. Their concert at the Berlin private club was sold out five months in advance - a clear sign of the growing enthusiasm.
Inspired by The Pretty Reckless, DIIV, Liily and Bloc Party, Agatha Is Dead! developed a sound that is heavy, hypnotic and deeply emotional. With their debut EP Order, due out soon, the band assert themselves as part of the next wave of alternative rock - winning hearts, rocking stages and refusing to go unnoticed.
