About event
Africa solo by bicycle - 23,000 km from Slovakia to the southernmost point of Africa
We invite you to talk to Lac Branický about his 9-month journey from Morocco to the southernmost point of Africa. A 23,000 km journey completed solo on only one iron bicycle.
We will guide you through 21 West African countries. We will cross the Sahara, jungles on the equator, discover the Atlantic coast, savannahs full of elephants, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and end up at the Indian Ocean at Cape Sagittarius in South Africa.
What is bikepacking in Africa, camping in the wild, malaria, how to deal with visas, what are close encounters with elephants like, how do local people perceive travelers and where are the most beautiful natural scenery?
3 years on a bicycle around the world
Karol Woltemár embarked on a journey around the world by bicycle, which lasted almost three and a half years. He crossed 57 countries on all continents and covered a total of 66,496 kilometers with the aim of getting to know himself and the world. He spent 3,774 hours in the saddle, overcame mountain passes at heights above 5,000 meters and experienced a unique life on two wheels, across diverse countries, cultures and with countless unforgettable experiences.
