After the successful start of the CRO-ArT Festival 2026, AFFINITIES continues the artistic examination of the festival theme ORIGIN - FUTURE.

The concert is dedicated to the connections from which music is created: between composers and performers, between friendship and artistic dialogue, between memory and new creation. The works of this evening tell of encounters that have grown over many years and taken shape in sound.

Some of the compositions were written for Andrea and Ivana Nikolić, others found their special connection to the artists through long-term collaboration, performances and artistic exchange. Together they tell of affinities - between people, ideas, tradition and innovation.

With works by Gabriele Proy, Meinhard Rüdenauer, David Mastikosa and Tomislav Uhlik, the concert brings together musical voices from different generations and cultural backgrounds. The focus is on new perspectives on identity, memory and the future as well as the question of how artistic relationships themselves become a living cultural heritage.

On the occasion of Meinhard Rüdenauer's 85th birthday, his new composition “Ode to M&E” will also be performed.

The concert will be recorded as a live CD and forms the second part of the “Wundersame Landscape".
