Event by: Klára Hajdinová
Location: CIRQUEON - centrum pro nový cirkus, Vlastislavova 603, Praha 4
About event
Ritti returns for the third time to deliver another of her signature choreographies! We divide the shawls so that they float between them, creating endless webs that flow into each other to create an endless sequence. We will use Vertical Theater methods to explore movement, find new shapes and explore our own movement qualities.
This workshop focuses on building webs in the air, breaking lines and telling stories using technique.
PREQUISITES: hiplock - scissors, ability to turn several times in the air - inverts (frog).
IMPORTANT: Bring shorts! Bring your usual training clothes, but please bring shorts!
Ritti is a Peruvian-German performer and circus teacher with over 15 years of experience as an aerial acrobatics instructor. Ritti's circus work tells stories of transgenerational and internalized colonialism. You can watch her latest performance "A Red Indian Climbs the Trump Wall" at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDFWhTd_kBE.
She is director of two circus studios in Scotland: 'Inverted: Circus and Pole Fitness' teaching adults circus and pole dance; "Inverted Circus Movement" teaches children circus skills and organizes accessible circus projects for children and adults with special needs. Ritti has taught in several studios all over Europe and is returning to Prague for the third time.
