About event
SHALOSH
«Tales of Utopia»
FEAT: Gadi Stern-David Michaeli-Matan Assayag
SHALOSH is an instrumental piano trio that belongs to a new generation of jazz groups that succeed in reaching a wide spectrum of listeners across genres.
Their music is raw, acoustic and progressive, crosses stylistic boundaries and defies any definition. In the more than ten years of its existence, the band has performed well over 350 international performances on some of the most prestigious stages in the world.
Despite the classic jazz trio format (piano, bass and drums) and the band members' deep roots in jazz and improvised music, SHALOSH's music goes its own way, creating a unique and fascinating synthesis of genres as diverse as rock, classical, electronic, African and Middle Eastern Music.
The musicians aim to create music that is both accessible and sophisticated, and with great aplomb manage the balancing act of challenging themselves as artists while at the same time opening the door to the widest possible audience and breaking the distance that intellectual music can create.
The current album “Tales of Utopia” was released in September 2023 by ACT.
Gadi Stern – Piano/ Keys
David Michaeli – Double Bass
