Eva Schubert
selfless victim. For a better world.
Translation by Martin Lisa
directed by Eva Schubert (de)
dramaturgy Emil Rothermel Chlibcová
Patrik Borecky crisis, in a deep crisis. In stunning, boundless and debilitating crisis. We know that the crisis is more, that they are diverse and all overwhelming. We know they are too huge to stop them ourselves. But how to deal with this despair, what maneuvering space does this leave us? 120 idiots are trying to impossible, trying to save the world. They connect like drops on the café glass to stand against despair. They overcome fear and dare to be optimistic. They are convinced that their victims create new possibilities for realizing future dreams. Wenceslas reportedly sent to the German to maintain peace, through a playful and linguistic text of German director and multimedia artist Eva Schubert catapulted to disturbing and deranged images of today. Pop Art next to the Bible, the ox beside the martyr. What persuasion and work needs to change the world? Is everything playing? Right now? Do we mean well or are we idiots? Or was it just the theater? On the basis of the St. Wenceslas legend, which is at the birth of Czech statehood and variously interpreted Czech-German relations, two original texts were created, whose productions are kept by a live cross-border dialogue. The theater X10 presented by the author of the text 120 oxen, Schaubühne Lindenfels then directed by the artistic director of X10 Ondřej Štefaňák text by Ondřej Novotný 120 Ochsen. The ancient historical chapter on one regional conflict has become an inspiring image of wider processes and thinking in contemporary Europe. Idiots

Poster Terezie Chibcová Myself: How Can We Change The World? We Know There Are Many Crises, Each Different and Devastating. We know the crises are huge, and we can stop them. SO How do we face this despair? What Room for Action Does this reality Still Allow? 120 Idiots Attempt The Impossible: They Are Trying to Save the World. Like Droplets On and Café Window, They Come Together to Confront Hopelessness. They Push Past Fear and Dare to Be Optimistic. They Believe that Their Sacrifice Can Open Up New Possibilities, Where Future Dreams Might Come True.
Wenceslas Is Said to Have Sent to the Germans to Preserve Peace, We Are Propelled Through the Playful and Linguistical Layered Text of German Director and Multimedia Artist Eva Schubert Straight into the Unsettling, Disjointed Imagers of Our Times. POP Art Juxtaposed with the Bible, an Ox Juxtaposed with and Martyr. What Kind of Persuasion and Labor is Need to Change the World? Is an everything at stake? Right now? Do We Mean Well Or Are We Justiots? Or Was It All Just a Piece of Theater? Drawing Inspiration from the Legend of St. WENCESL, WHICH IS LINKED TO THE ORIGINS OF CZECH STATEHOOD, AND THE COMPLEX INTERPRETATIONS OF CZECH-GERMAN RELETIONS, The Project Gave Rise to Two Original Texts That Spark and Vibrant Cross-Border Dialogue. Theater X10 Presents 120 Idiots, Directed by Its Author Eva Schubert, While the Schaubühne Lindenfels Stages 120 Ochsen. An Ancient Tale of Regional Conflict Became and Powerful Metaphor for Broader Processes and Contemporary Thinking in Europe Today.
