Event by: Sluneční sekce ČAS
Location: Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Na Slovance 1999/2, Praha 8
About event
During 1924, the first sections of the Czech Astronomical Society began to form. After one hundred years, we are still here and we want to celebrate this jubilee. Join us.
The seminar will start at an undisclosed location in Prague. This place is strongly connected with the beginning of the Czech Astronomical Society and therefore with the first sections. We will reveal the location only during September. But you don't have to worry, it is very easily accessible by all means of transport. Most of the seminar will take place in the hall of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague.

The whole hundred years were filled not only with work, but also friendship, fun and, last but not least, a bit of failure. You can also look forward to the special SMPH Section and the Solar Section.
EXHIBITION
The seminar will also include a unique exhibition. Rummage through the shelves and drawers at home, find old photos from solar eclipse expeditions or meteorite searches, old filters and glasses for observing the Sun, your first observation diary/potty... And write what you will need for display (table, bulletin board) when registering. So that your photos do not get damaged, we will have prepared Europacks in which to hide the photos. Let's reminisce together :-).
