The Vienna Jazz & Genusstage are the Viennese jazz festival of the districts and are celebrating their 14th anniversary this year - district jazz days right on the doorstep of the people of Vienna.
Due to the great success in recent years, the Jazz Days tour is going through many districts again this year, and the Liesinger Jazz & Genusstag - the jazz festival in Vienna's southernmost district - is taking place for the tenth time this year!
The best Jazzcats in the country meet in the idyllic inner courtyard of the Heuriger Weindorfer. There you sit protected and yet open air, if it rains you have the option to go indoors, and in any case you will be spoiled with culinary delights.
Vienna's "first couple of Jazz" and their band present a varied and multi-layered musical experience of the highest class from their own pen, immersed in their signature sound of jazz seasoned with a pinch of world, and they fascinate a large audience with theirs Music.
Inspired by the groove-oriented playing style of hard bop and with a good portion of blues, they serve urban jazz that bears their unmistakable signature as well as reflecting the flair of the great jazz metropolises of Chicago, New Orleans and New York.
With songs that manage the balancing act between cool relaxation and funky grooves, they immerse themselves in the jazz club atmosphere of the Big Apple.
